About the Position

On behalf of our client, Aschert & Bohrmann GmbH is recruiting an experienced Vice President of Administration & Operations for the Mülheim an der Ruhr area.

This senior leadership position combines overall responsibility for key administrative and operational functions with a strong focus on Human Resources and the strategic development of internal company structures.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence organizational development, improve internal processes, lead teams, and work closely with senior management in an international business environment.

The position is available either full-time or part-time at 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the company’s administrative and operational functions and drive their strategic and organizational development.

Lead, manage, and continuously develop teams across assigned areas of responsibility.

Oversee Human Resources, including the improvement and development of HR processes, structures, policies, and standards.

Advise senior management on HR, administrative, organizational, and workforce-related matters.

Review, manage, and continuously improve internal processes, policies, and operational standards.

Work closely with executive management and national and international stakeholders.

Support international HR activities and cross-border employment processes.

Coordinate employee relocations, international assignments, and Global Mobility activities in cooperation with internal and external partners.

Ensure efficient, professional, and well-structured business operations while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Lead and contribute to cross-functional strategic, organizational, and transformation projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

A successfully completed university degree, preferably in business administration, human resources, management, or a related field.

Several years of professional and leadership experience in a senior role involving Administration, Operations, Human Resources, or a combination of these areas.

Strong experience managing, designing, and improving administrative and HR-related processes.

A solid understanding of modern HR structures and how different organizational functions interact across a company.

Experience working in an international business environment is an advantage.

Practical knowledge of international employee assignments and Global Mobility is desirable.

Fluent or business-level English is essential.

At least very good German language skills, both written and spoken.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with people at different levels of an organization.

A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset combined with a practical, solution-oriented approach.

A high level of responsibility, strong decision-making ability, and the initiative to work independently.
